Back on Set: Reflections from a Recent Shoot

There's a particular quiet that settles over a set between takes — crew resetting marks, the DP checking light, everyone holding a thought mid-air. I've always loved that quiet. It's where a character actually finishes forming, somewhere between "action" and "cut."

On this most recent job, I found myself leaning on years of theater training more than I expected. Stage work teaches you to hold a beat, to trust silence, to let a moment breathe instead of rushing to fill it. Cameras pick up on that kind of restraint in a way an audience thirty rows back never could.

More soon once the project is announced — for now, just grateful to still be doing the thing that started it all.
